This Acura houses a custom mobile entertainment system worth over $4000 in parts alone . I designed this system from the ground up to be the cleanest and most balanced sounding system I could create. It is not designed for high-decibel competition but for fidelity. Don't get me wrong though, you 'feel' your music! The custom installation required 85 hrs of labor and inlcludes pain-staking detail from the pure silver soldered and shrink-wrapped connections to the careful placement of power and speaker cabling. Only the highest quality, oxygen free cabling was used in this installation. Additionally, the head unit delivers all-digital signals via a fiber optic cable to a Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound Signal Processor, positioned at the rear of the vehicle, closest to the amplifiers. Thus, eliminating signal loss, noise, and distortion prior to signal amplification. This system provides exceptionally clean, powerful sound. Other installation touches include a hand-laid fiberglass subwoofer enclosure molded into the trunk. A dual-aplifier rack is also custom modled from a combination of fiberglass and medium density fiber board. The head unit itself sits in a custom dash housing, which is painted to match the interior color and tastefully displays 'Acura' along with the company symbol. Of course, any sound system is only as good as it's speakers, to include how they are monted. All speakers are mounted to look completely stock but they employ a custom mount and sound-deadening material to provide a perfect seal between the door panels and the interior of the car (eliminating the 'infinite baffel' problems associated with so many systems), as well as to all but eliminate unwanted resonance from the sheet metal structure of the doors. Further, the tweeters in the front of the car are mounted in custom sail panels, crafted from carbon fiber laced body filler. This compound provides a stock look to the mounting, while providing longevity of service life, strength, and low weight. The sail panels are painted to match the interior. All of the details were thought of with this installation. The flip up screen was mounted as low as possible in the dash to minimize obstructing the auto climate control buttons and so as not to intefere with the operation of the change holder or the transmission shift knob. The satellite radio antenna is mounted on the dash board, in the front windshield so as not to detract from the smooth exterior appearance. Even the integrated IPod connection is positioned in the arm rest to keep it out of the way. This system is incredibly clean and powerful, all the way to max volume levels. Best of all, it is tasteful and very stock looking so as not to draw unwanted attention and to keep with the style of the vehicle. Clarion VRX-755VD Touch-Screen DVD Head Unit Fully-integrated IPod controls. Plug the IPod into the connection in the arm rest and forget about it. Your IPod is controlled through the touch screen interface and is charged while connected to the system. Sirius Satellite Radio 6 Disc CD changer in the trunk System pre-wired for a center channel speaker on the dash board. Amplified lines pre-exist (easily accessed by openning the fuse panel door on the passenger side of the dash board), just add speakers for a true mobile surround sound experience. Or take advantage of the advanced signal processing on the existing system Focal K2 Power 6.5 woofers in the front doors with matching 1.5' tweeters in the sail panels. If you haven't heard Focal Speakers...the best in the business! Rear seat passengers have two additional Infinity Kappa 6.5' 3-way speakers in the rear doors. 12' Alpine S-Type Subwoofer in the trunk. This sub is one of the cleanest, hardest hitting subs for non-competion applications. It's one of the best kept secrets in the car audio business, outperforming subs three times the price! Two, JL Audio E-Class Amplifiers. A Six Channel Amplifier powers the front components, rear surround speakers, and the center channel beneath the dash. A Seperate Mono Block ampifier powers the sub. I optimized the amplifier output by tuning each channel using a tone CD and my digital multi-meter. Optima Red Top Battery Bottom line: you would pay thousands and thousands over the cost of the parts for such a meticulous installation. I don't even know of a stereo installer that would have this kind of attention to detail. Vehicle located in Wichita Falls, TX. Ad
